Soundown - Composite Soundproof Mat

Powerful soundproofing material used in yacht engine rooms and similar areas.

A 3mm thick high-density PVC【Tuff-Mass】(soundproof sheet) is sandwiched between fire-resistant foam (sound-absorbing foam) and covered with an aluminum-coated Mylar film on the surface. It exhibits excellent soundproofing and noise reduction effects against engine noise and machinery. ● Compared to many "single-layer soundproofing materials" that are only effective at high frequencies, it has outstanding attenuation effects against mid to low-frequency noise from engines, generators, and pumps. ● The surface Mylar film is reinforced with threads, so it won't tear even with rough handling. ● It can be cut with a cutter or scissors, and it has a strong adhesive backing on the reverse side, making installation easy. ● Soundproofing TIPS * Sound travels through the air. It can easily intrude if there are gaps, just like drafts. The key to soundproofing is to apply it as tightly as possible to avoid creating "gaps." * When using it for soundproofing a piano room, simply placing it under the instrument will not provide soundproofing effects. It is necessary to "cover" the entire floor of the room. Additionally, placing instruments like pianos directly on it will compress the urethane. Always install it under the floorboards.

For measures against the double floor drum phenomenon (impact noise), use the soundproof mat "Otonashikun."

Many successful applications of "Otonashikun" for noise reduction to lower floors in the renovation and remodeling of apartment buildings ★ Sample provided with catalog download ★

The soundproof rubber mat "Otonashikun" is made from rubber scraps generated by manufacturers of automotive rubber parts. The raw material used is unused rubber scraps, which are of high quality while keeping costs down, making it a cost-effective option. Recently, there has been an increase in the conversion of Japanese-style rooms to Western-style rooms in the renovation of apartment buildings and public housing. Some have been troubled by the drum phenomenon caused by double flooring adopted for noise reduction to the lower floors... By simply installing double flooring over "Otonashikun," a reduction in the drum phenomenon can be expected. Of course, "Otonashikun" can also be installed directly on the floor. (Thickness can be accommodated in 5mm increments.) With "Otonashikun," flexible soundproofing measures can be tailored to fit your budget. Currently, we are offering samples through catalog downloads. Please contact us if you are interested. *The drum phenomenon of double flooring refers to a situation where air is trapped between the slab (floor concrete) and the panel floor, which amplifies sound due to the sealed air, causing impact noise to resonate like a drum.
